Biography:
I have been a consultant endocrinologist at Barnet Hospital since 2005. I am the Head of Department of Diabetes & Endocrinology at Barnet and Chase Farm NHS Trust.
My undergarduate training was at Cambridge University (Preclinical) and University College London Hospitals (Clinical). I trained on the St Bartholomews/Homerton SHO rotation and, after gaining my MRCP, returned to UCL for my registrar training at The Middlesex Hospital, The Whittington Hospital and the Royal Free Hospital.
I wrote an MD Thesis on Polycystic Ovary Syndrome and endocrine aspects of obesity, following a 2 year research fellowship in the Metabolic Medicine Unit at The Whittington Hospital. I spent 1 year as a registrar in Sydney, Australia in 1999. From 2002 to 2005,
I was a Consultant Endocrinologist at QE2 Hospital, Welwyn Garden City, before taking up my current post in Barnet in 2005.
