Biography:

Giuseppe K. Fusai qualified with honours in 1987 at the University of Milan, Italy. He began his training in General Surgery in Italy and in 1992 he was awarded with a Master of Surgery (MS) from the University of Parma He moved to the UK in 1995 and in 1996 became Fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh.

He specialized in Hepato-pancreato-biliary Surgery and Liver Transplant and since 1999 he has worked in several Centres of Excellence in the UK and abroad, including King's College Hospital in London and Nagoya University Hospital in Japan, the latter well known for the treatment of cholangiocarcinoma.

Mr Fusai is a Consultant Surgeon in the Liver Unit at the Royal Free Hospital NHS Trust in Hampstead, London. He is extensively trained in General and Laparoscopic Surgery including the treatment of benign conditions, such as gallstones and pancreatitis.

His primary clinical and academic interest is in liver metastases and pancreatic cancer and in the modalities to treat patients with advanced disease, including vascular reconstruction.
